A missing skier has been found dead at a Lake Tahoe resort — just days after eight were killed by an avalanche in the backcountry nearby. Colin Kang’s body was discovered at the black diamond Sugar Pine Glade trail at Northstar California Resort on Thursday after he went missing around noon on Tuesday.

College student Alexandra Blattner, 20, reportedly died in a ski accident at Granite Peak Resort in Wisconsin. The UW-Oshkosh sophomore studied pre-nursing.

The skier died after they attempted an expert-level run known as “Dropout 2”

The skier was involved in a collision with another skier, according to officials.
